News from the Middle School

Week of Jan. 8

Dear All,

Things have gone quite well this week and students are happily back into the swing of things. Today's message will be short and sweet and without photos as I have had to be away from school this week and unable to take any. I was looking forward to seeing everyone and missed not being there. I am hopeful and eager to return on Monday. I will take lots of photographs and deliver a better message next week I promise!

On Monday, students who have been preparing will compete in our School Spelling Bee. The winner will represent SDS in the Region Spelling Bee later this winter. We have lots of basketball games this week with MS home games on Thursday afternoon. We have away Junior Griffin games on that day as well.

Decisions were made by SGLA to dress(up/down) in the following ways for Homecoming Week which is January 16th through the 19th:

Tuesday will be Pajama Day; Wednesday will be Red and White Day(5th and 7th dress in RED and 6th and 8th dress in WHITE); Thursday is Decades Day...any decade you choose, and Friday is SDS Spirit Day

I hope you all manage to stay well and that you have a wonderful weekend!

Best,

Farrar
